Portrait of an unknown lady, possibly identical with the portrait of Baroness G., which was exhibited at the Vienna Künstlerhaus in 1905 (EL 48 1904/05 #3459). Due to missing information (return data in the entry book, press reports, correspondence archived in the Künstlerhaus Vienna) an identification of the portrayed person was not possible. However, the portrait shows strong formal similarities (posture, clothing, furnishings) with the portraits of Bertha Habig and Henriette Zierer, which were also painted in 1905 (see cross-references). Only the landscape background seems rather inappropriate considering the (probably olive green) armchair on which the sitter is posing, whereas Bertha Habig and Henriette Ziehrer are depicted in identical armchairs but with an interior background.
