This harbor scene probably depicts a fishing port in Italy (Grado?). The painting is possibly identical to the painting Ships in the Port of Volendam (EL 1903 Vol.40 #2614) exhibited at the Künstlerhaus in 1903, which has the same dimensions, but is listed here (in contrast to APH) as a separate work because of the clearly Italian architecture.
